The Big League Wildcats has one of the best teams of coaches and staff in the game. Our experienced coaches will work to ensure that our players follow a path to success. Our athletes train year round in 30,000 square foot training facility that includes turf areas, multiple pitching areas and 8 batting cages.
Francisco Cartaya
Owner/Instructor
lives with his beautiful wife Yenisel, and his three children, Francisco, Christian and Sebastian in Collierville, Tennessee.
- A Latin American cross checker for an MLB team for last 5 years.
- Latin American Coordinator from 2016 -17.
- Signed in 1996 with the DBacks becoming one of the organization’s First Venezuelan Signed Players.
- Over 25 seasons of baseball involvement, including Winter League experience.
- Venezuela’s Advance Scouting Coordinator in the 2017 World Baseball Classic.
- Advance scout for the 2013 World Baseball Classic.
- Los Angeles Dodger’s scout from 2010-15.
- Served in various roles for the Rockies from 1998-2010.
- Director of Venezuela Operations (2005-10).
- Manager of Venezuela Operations (2004).
- Venezuela Scouting Supervisor (2002).
- Area scout (2000-01) Venezuelan.
- Summer League Coach (1998-99).
- Infield Coach (1998).
- Won the Rockies’ 2007 Pat Daugherty Scout of the year.
Courtney Mitchell
Owner/Instructor
lives with his beautiful wife Camela, and two kids, Kylan and Karington in Collierville, Tennessee. His another son Prentice Cook lives in Louisiana.
- Played professionally with the Philadelphia Phillies for 6 years.
- Originally from Garyville, LA. Courtney played high school baseball at East St. John High School.
- Won the State Championship going undefeated 28-0 sitting a record in the State of Louisiana at East St. John.
- Finish 13-0 with a .78 earn run average while batting 378.
- Received a scholarship to attended Grambling State University and majored in Architectural Drafting.
- Won SWAC Pitcher of the Year in 92,93, and 94.
- Won SWAC Most Valuable Player in 1994.
- Holds the Strikeout Record at Grambling.
- Coaching experience of 15 years.
- Helped numerous of players male and female receive scholarships to play collegiately.
